I have not blogged for a while now. Have not been writing in any of my journals, either. Since I gave birth last August 1, everything has changed. I've been wanting to write about that experience but I never made time for it. Yes, I have attempted to, but it stopped at the part when my midwife, Mama Chato, was checking me at the birthing clinic (the morning after I felt the reeeeaaaally painful contractions).
So now, this is the first step. I am writing again. Not just because I really miss it, but because I really need it. With everything that's been happening in my wonderful life now, they deserve to be written down beautifully and preserved forever (technology, please don't fail me).
Aside from that, in my younger days, writing has always been my passion. I've always imagined myself to be that person who would write anything and everything under the sun. But I fail a lot of times. Hehe. This is the reason why I have a bunch of diaries and journals since I was a little girl. My first ones were all regularly and consistently updated. I wrote EVERY DAY. Can you believe it? Now, my most recent ones start with June 14, 2006 then the next entry would be August 28, 2006, then the next would be, May 6, 2007. And each entry always started with a "Sorry I have not been writing for a long time...". Well, there's a hint of exaggeration there, but you know what I mean. If you would notice, even this blog has that. Try looking for that similar line in one of the articles and let me know. ;)
But this time, I am challenging myself! I want to be more productive now, and that includes writing and blogging. In a large way, I want my kiddos to learn how beautiful and fun it is to write. Because it is fun! Even the mental blocks are fun (I use those blocks to say to myself, "Okay, I can't think of anything else to write yet, so maybe I'll just play a game first...").
